So here is another card using the adorable bugs and kisses set. This is like the first set I really wanted when I first got introduced to Stampin' Up. Its wonderful. This card is fairly plain but I still like it. I used tempting turquoise and old olive cardstock. Then using the stampin' write marker colored the snail choco chip and olive and stamped the ants in black. Finished it off with some chocolate chip ribbon and of course the swiss dots embossing folder. Thank God for the big shot. lol. It so simply adds so much to a card. I mean "back in the day" the green wouldnt have had any texture or dimension at all. How sad is that? Anyways, thanks for popping by!

Bugs and Kisses

Hello everyone. So here is today's card. I made it a few months ago (dont recall the reson why) and just adore it. It uses Sahara sand, marina mist, and wild wasabi cardstock. I used the twill ribbon, swiss dots embossing folder and of course the bugs and kisses stamp set. I am attending regionals this week and this is going to be the swap card I use. Hopefully other people like it and "want" it.

In other news, One more week until my friend and her family come out to visit from colorado. Havent seen her in about 7yrs so it will be a nice but very short visit im sure. She has two little ones and they have decided they are going to drive out here so most of the vacation will be spend in the car with only a few days actually visiting, but Ill take what I can get. Hopefully we make them like it here sooo much that they will move. ;)

its been almost a year.....

Yep. thats right. Its been almost a year since my last post, how sad. Nothing new has really happened, just "havent had time". I may not have posted in a long time, but I certainly didnt stop stamping. I actually have learned how to sew a lil....well, im still learning. Ill post some projects over the next couple days.

So, i thought today I would share one of my latest favorite projects. Its nothing difficult and youve seen it before Im sure but I think its cute. Its a mini composition book and matching pen all wrapped up with a topper. I used some retired SU DSP (I dont recall the name but I think you can still get it through my online store on the clearance rack) and of course my fav owl punch. I LOVE his googly eyes. I used the retired set "a lil somthin" on the topper which is made with the SU bigshot top note die.

well thats all for my post today. Ill work on updating this thing over the next week and hopefully get back on track. Thanks for poppin by.

bag scrapbook

Hello Everyone! Here is the project we will be making on the 24th. Its a brag book so to speak. It can hold up to 9 pictures if you wanted it too. We will be using the sweet pea felt flowers which are coming to an end this month. Thats right, this is the last month for the occassions mini so you will want to get your orders in before the end of the month.

This first picture you see is the cover. I kinda messed it up as I decided I wanted to emboss it after I put it together. So I gave it a whirl and missed some and then I did it backwards so the

impression is on the inside. At the class however,

we will do it the right way. lol.

The next picture is what it looks like when you open it up. you can see the cardstock in front of the picutre which allows for some journaling. You could also add some paper and a picture to the outside of the bag and make room for more pictures. Totally up to you. This is how I opted to do it. I think next time Ill try it the other way. So thats the project. Please let me know if you are attending or not. The class fee is $10f and I have to know by the 14th.

Keychain

So here is the keychain i was telling you about. This is the one side of it. I know not all of you might like my choice of paper but its just to show you the idea. I used our hodgepodge hardware. Whats nice about using that is they cooridnate with our punches so all you have to do is punch out the paper and glue it in. you can get the keychain rings at any craft store and the chain I used came from michaels in the jewelry section. the keychain has 2 sides. You glue the hardware together to make it have a front and a back. You dont have to use just dsp, you can also stamp an image or whatever you want to do. You can make your very own, one of a kind, personalized keychain.

Rag Shag Purse

Hello all. Todays post is called a rag shag purse. I wish it was my original idea, but its definately not. I love these things. Got the idea from chicknscratch.com. That woman is amazing. She is so talented it makes me jealous. lol. So Ive been dieing to make one forever. Last night I went to my mils and she helped me. I couldnt have done it without her. I really suck at sewing and all that type of stuff. It wasnt super hard. Ive learned that I need to buy more fabric than I did. I didnt have enough black to put on the inside so I used a pink fabric that I really like, but would have rathered have it be the same colors on the inside. I think the next time I will make it another layer deeper and wider and maybe add the button that she did.

So, im a little slow today...

Well, after posting the last post, I was puttsin around online and when i was done and closed out the web browser I found the pop up to upload my picture. So I guess in reality it wasnt blogger that was being a pain, it was me being slow. lol. So this is the card for the day. I NEVER make cards like this. I always see other peoples cards that are like this only with a different layout or something, and it always looks amazing. Thought Id step out of my comfort zone and give it a whirl. I used the flower #3 die for the flowers and the corduroy brads for the center. I used the paper thats in the mini-dont remember the name- as well as the lots of dots embossing folder. The border punch is in the SAB catalog for FREE! A free punch...it doesnt get much better than that! Remember, this is the last month for SAB.

well, now that I got the picture to upload its time to get working on other stuff. Ive been making invitations, rsvps, and tickets for my friends jack n jill party in may. I have 40 sent and another 25 to stuff, stamp, stamp again, and mail. My goal was yesterday, but that just didnt happen. Hopefully Ill get the rest out today.

Hello there. I have a card to show you today but blogger really isnt making this easy. It let me up load the picture but when it showed up it turns out it wasnt the right size. So I deleted it and went to do it over and now it wont let me. I even deleted that posting and started over and it still wont let me. Im trying really hard though to keep this up. Hopefully blogger will be more helpful later on today. Well, guess thats it since I cant upload it. Ill try again later so check back.

Good Neighbors

Well... Im on the road to keeping up with my posts. This is a card Ive been workin on the past couple days. In reality it didnt take very long its just that I work on it 10mins here and 10mins there when I can sneak away from the boys. My wonderful upline gives her downline challenges and this weeks color challenge was to use razzleberry, so saffron, and old olive. Well I only had one small piece of old olive and I mess it up workin on the card. So I improvised with Always Artichoke. I think Old Olive would have looked better but hey, what can ya do ya know. Now I know I need to order more. lol. So this card uses two sets from the Sale-a-bration catalog called Good Neighbors and Whimsical words. They are both really great sets. There is also a paper pack that matches the good neighbor set. I used the scallop border punch that you can get for free in the SAB catalog as well. I popped the houses up on dimensionals as well as the tag on the right. I also used the perfect dots embossing folder thats in the mini on the background. I SOOOOO LOVE that folder. I use it on almost everything! It was the best $7 I ever spent lol.

So when I was finishing up this card yesterday Kaleb thought he needed to help me. He wanted to stamp too. He started out with some stamps... Wasnt havin so much luck. He wasnt inking it enough, he is only 2. So then he decided that it would be more fun to use his hand. He was very proud. I on the other hand wasnt as amused as he was, but thats just the way it is I suppose.

Well thats it. I am really gonna try to keep up with this. Cross your fingers. haha. Have a great day and find some time to stamp!!

You have no idea how long it has taken me to get this to post! I actually had this all done last week but everytime I went to move the pictures where they needed to be it would lock up. Finally it is working. Ok so this time Im not even gonna say Im going to keep up with it, cause as you can see.... Im not so good at it. Some new stuff has gone on since the last time I posted. Sale-a-bration is the most exciting. For every $50 you spend you get to pick something free out of the SAB catalog. SAB ends March 31st so while this is some late notice, Order while you still can.

The Occassions mini is also in effect. It started in January as well and is good through the end of march. You can view either of these catalogs on the Stampin Up Website There is some really great stuff in there that includes a new punch style and Clear mount stamps. YAY!!! They are so great, especially for those of you (me included) that dont have space to store all of your favorite stamps and punches. I call them space savers since they really do save space.

ok, now ill show ya some stuff that Ive been workin on lately. Ill get around to posting some other stuff Hopefully (not making any promises) this coming week.

This picture is a card we did at my last class. It uses the Fox and Friends stamp from the mini. I SOOOOO LOVE this stamp. I think it is just the cutest thing ever! I also used the new chocolate chip satin ribbon that comes in like 8 other colors. This ribbon is oh so fabulous! Others did it a little differently which looked awesome. So I tried it their way and definately liked theirs better. Here's my version...

Melissa made a card similar to this one. I think hers was a tad different but this is kind of how I remember it. Hers for whatever reason looked way better than this one came out.

And this one, Shanun made it like this. Again, hers looked awesome and Im not so happy with how mine came out. I dont know why. So, I guess that means I should keep to my original. Well thats it for today. I will try to keep up with my posting.

I totally havent posted since October. I have done a lot of stuff since then, just havent been keepin up with this. I need to start. So I suppose I should catch ya up on all the stuff goin on. -

-First, its Sale-A-Bration!! You know what that means, for every $50 spent on merchandise you get to pick something out of the sale-a-bration brochure. Lots of great goodies in there. Stamps, paper, and even a punch. You can also pick from a select group of stamps that are in the current catalog. How awesome is that!

-Next, we have the new occassions mini. Just when you thought things couldnt get any better... SU proves us wrong. New punches, I call them space savers. They fold up and ultimately save space. We also have acrylic blocks. You have the option of ordering your stamps on wooden blocks or ordering them off the blocks and using them on acrylic blocks. Again, this saves space! I love that because I dont have a ton of space so I think this is just so Amazing!

-Third, I am starting a frequent stamper card. For every $25 you spend you get a punch off of your card. Once you fill the card, you get $10 in free merchandise of your choice.

-Fourth, Button and Ribbon Shares..... What does that mean?

Im Back!

I havent posted since July...which Im sure you can tell if you looked at the last date. I have been really busy photographing weddings and editing them and everything else that has seemed to pop up. So, Im back. Guess I should update you with the current stuff going on in SU.

First, the holiday mini. There are sooo many fabulous things in here, I dont even know where to start. SU has teamed up with Build-a-bear to offer BAB dies for the bigshot. They have cute little outfits, coordinating papers, and stamp sets.

We also have our simply adorned collection. It includes locket charms in three different sizes, chains to go with, and a magnetic gift box to put it in. They are absolutely darling.

Then theres the sweet treat cups. They are cups that you attatch to your cards or other projects that can be filled with whatever you want. They are roughly the size of a peppermint patty. I have seen soooo many great things done with these cups, Im already obsessed. You can even order a coordinating stamp set to go with them.

Last but not least, My digital studio. MDS has SUs exclusive images, papers, and embellishments all digitally. For those of you that arent into traditional scrapbooking, this is for you. You can also creat cards, and any other project you can think of.

Mr. and Mrs, Potato Head

I just had to post this. Yesterday Yankee Candle had a kids day. They had Mr. and Mrs. Potato head, Bumble Bee from the Transformers, Mr. Play doh, My Little Pony, and I heard a rumor that the Monopoly guy was there, but we didnt see him. They had all kinds of things for the kids to do. They had twister, giant jenga, potato sack races, and a pre school center where there was gator gulf, limbo and elefun (the game where the elephant blows out butterflies and the kids try to catch them in nets). They also had candle dipping, wax works where you could dip your hand in the wax and make a sculpture and you could also make your own jar candle. Then they had this puzzle machine where they took your picture and inserted it into a scence of your choice and it made a puzzle of it. The boys each got spongebob, it was super cute. The boys had a blast and were really well behaved!

Hopefully today or tomorrow I will take some pictures of the cards we made at the class yesterday and get those posted. Until then, thanks for surfin my blog.

Here is another card we will be making at my class on Saturday. I just cant get over how much I love these new in colors. Especially the mambo melon. Its like my favorite. I use it on everything. Its pretty quick and basically self explanitory which is nice cause I really dont have time to. I need to go clean my kitchen but wanted to get this posted.

Here is one of the cards we will be making at the class on the 25th. Thought I would use some stuff I havent used in awhile. In the bottom corner, a build-a-brad. I bought them, loved them, and didnt want to share them. I recently decided if I dont share them how will anyone else see how fabulous they are? On top, the defining alphabet and define your life sets. I just had to have these sets and again, dont use them very often so I thought I should use them as well. Then of course the new oh so fabulous in colors and dsp. I use those a lot though.

Hello. It is another rainy day here in Mass. I think we have had rain for the past 2 weeks it seems. I thought maybe I would post a card today (this keeps me from laying on the couch taking a nap). So, the base is chocolate chip and I used the dsp that I cant currently remember the name of.... it will come to me soon. I used baja breeze-of course- and very vanilla where the sentiment is stamped. I used the sentiment from the very versatile set. I love that set. It has sentiments for everything, and they are really nice sentiments. I through 3 half back pearls on the bottom corner and thats it. It would make a good anniversary or even a wedding card. hmm... well the name of that dsp still hasnt come to me so I suppose I should go look. Hold on a sec......................................................................................... AH HA! Parisian Breeze. I knew that. So anyways, that of course is a paper that is retiring so if you want it, you have to order it now (if its not already gone). You have until June 30th to order from the retiring lists. Thats only 6 days away. SO HURRY UP!

So, as usual, the picture is crappy. Its a little blurry which I didnt notice until now, but you get the idea. This is a card we will be making at my workshop on friday the 26th. I am going to let them sample the new incolors. I love these little dress cards. I think they are so cute. The background on this is actually textured. I dotn know if you can tell or not. It looks much better in person but unless you come to the workshop you wont get to see it in person.

Well.. thats all for today. I have some pictures done so I will be posting over the next few days... hopefully. Hopefully Ill finish the other projects we are making at the workshop so I can post those as well. Remember... its a rainy day, that makes for a fabulous stamping day!

sneak peek 2

HeLlO! This is sneak peek number 2. I absolutely LOVE this stamp set. Its called razzle dazzle. I cased this card from someone online,but I did change up the colors and sentiment. These are the Thank You cards for the customers that came to my last class. I used the new stamp, the razzle berry ink and the matching polka dot ribbon. I used the oval all stamp set for the sentiment with the scallop oval punch. I love that punch and set. I really like this card, even if I did copy it from someone. I can see me making more of these.

Now and kind of funny story. See the card below? Well I gave it to my friends daughter for her birthday yesterday (She lov ed it) and of course her mom opened the card up and started reading it to everyone, well she opens it up to read the inside and starts laughing. I couldnt figure out why. Then she said that I had left it blank. I totally forgot to write anything on the inside. No Happy birthday, no from us, nothing. Completely blank! Maybe ya had to be there, but it was pretty funny.

Ok, well I think My kid just pooped. I can smell him and its terrible so I guess I should go change him (like you really wanted to know that). SO you have a great day. Its raining, which means its the perfect day to stay inside and use all the Stampin' UP supplies you purchase!

sneak peek.

Hello all! So this is going to be a quick post because I have to get ready to head over to the relay for life. I wanted to show you a sneak peak of one of the new stamps, papers, and dsps that will be in our new catalog starting in July. This stamp is called lots of bots. I have a birthday, get well soon, and im sorry robots and phrases in it. I love the Happy BIrthday Human stamp in it. The dsp is called razzle dazzle. I also Love that paper. There is a coordinating stamp set that goes along with it, though Ic ant remember the name. The card is made using the new in colors which I absolutely LOVE! THey are so bright and fun. The purple is razzleberry, the blue is bumuda bay, and the pink is melon mambo. I was going to use this card for a birthday card for my friends daughter, but I decided maybe Ill go with something a little more girly. I have trouble picturing this set for girls, no matter how much pink I use. Though maybe if I hadnt used the blue I would like it better.... Who knows.

I cant believe it. This is my third post today. I keep forgetting stuff. Well I didnt really forget this. I just had to show it. Today around 11 a friend calls me up and says hey, can you make me a card for a bridal shower? I need it by 1. lol. So... my upline showed me how to make this card a couple weeks ago and I thought, hmmm... Maybe this will work. So I texturized everything. Through on some glitter, scalloped the edges and VOILA! A very fast and simple card. Im not sure how pleased I am with it, but hey, its not like I had a lot of notice. I do really like the dress. I love how the glitter looks on it. I used some half back pearls on the ribbon and really, like i said, it was super easy. I am going to be having a workshop June 26th at 6:00 and we will be making a card similar. I dont have it done yet obviously, but I really like making these dress cards. We will also be making the purse thing a couple of posts down. We will be making one other project but I havent decided what it is yet. When I know, I will post it. I am hoping to have some new stuff from the new catty by then so I can give everyone a sneek peek. So you wont want to miss out. OK so this has absolutely nothing to do with Stamping. Every night around 10 Wes says Pee. I honestly think its just to get out of bed, but I take him to the bathroom anyways hoping someday he will actually go. So every night, nothing. I do everything I can to get him to go. I turn on water, tickle him, everything and still nothing. So last night around 10, he says Pee like always. So I take him in and set him on the potty while I filled the humidifier and when I came back into the bathroom HE WAS PEEING!!!! I was sooo excited. That was the first time he peed on the potty. So now we just have to get him to do it during the day, which he definately doesnt like doing. So Im sure most of you dont care, but I had to share. I was so proud of him. With his autism it has really been a fight to even get him to sit on the potty let alone go in it. So there ya have it. Wes peed on the potty!

What a beautiful day that is. It is absolutely GORGEOUS outside! I would soooo love to be swimming and its only 9:15! However, even if I did have a pool, I wouldnt be able to. Wes woke up this morning with a fever. No coughs or anything...just a fever. I dont know if he has any stomache issues, even if he did he doesnt know how to communicate that to me. So the poor kid is sittin on the couch and looks like crap!

so this is the project for today. It opens up and is like a purse. This will be one of the projects we make at a workshop in June, I havent set a date yet, but we will be making this. Its really easy to make and I love how they come out. For this one I used the SAB papers and ribbon. I used eyelets on the top to string the ribbon through and a jumbo brad in the center of the flower. The flower came from the set petal pizzazz and whats so great about this flower is that it fits in our scallop punch. So talk about easy! There is no cutting for that flower! I love that set, I just barely use it. Well...I barely use any of my stamps these days. I have to make wedding save the dates, invites, and thank you cards for a cousin, 160 of each! So there really isnt much stamping in my future either lol.

Ok well off to tend to my kid and cut some more paper. Enjoy your day... if your in mass area, you might want to find a pool or get some AC.

another quilt card

So I just realized today is already MAY 20th! That just didnt dawn on me until this morning when I was checking in with SU and I can already preorder my new catalogs! WOW this year is going fast! While thats on my mind, The retired list comes out June 1st so start thinking about all the dsps and in color papers you need. This month SU is running a special if you buy 3 packs of dsp or textured cardstock you get one free. What a great way to get all those dsp's you want before they retire.

So the card. I actually made this card awhile back when I was on my "quilt card kick". I used the pink pirouettes, chocho chip, and whisper white cardstock. I used bella rose dsp for the quilt part. I think Im going to miss this paper. Honestly, when it first came out I didnt really care for it, but would you know it, Ive used more of this dsp than any other?! I used my butterfly die for my bigshot to make a chipboard butterfly then I covered it with dsp. I added a few half back pearls, and VOILA! A cute, yet very simple card. Oh yea, I also sponged the edges of the butterfly to make it stand out a little more.

Well thats all for now. i have to dig up some more stuff to post. I still need quite a few posts to get my emblem from Angie for the scavenger hunt. So You will see some more posts over the next few days.

Hello! Its been a short while since Ive posted. Ive been fairly busy the past couple weeks and havent really had the chance to post. This is a birthday card I made for my sons friend Zach. I wasnt real sure of what to use since I dont really have that many boy stamps. you would think I would considering I have 2 boys, but I guess I just tend to the girly things. So after thinking about it for awhile I went through my stamp drawers and found this one. I never really use this set but I just HAD to have it! I saw this layout online somewhere...probly scs. I used old olive, pumpkin pie, and brilliant blue papers. I dont remember the name of the dsp I used as it is retired. I used the tag corner punch to make the tag the size I wanted. I love that little punch. I also used our jumbo eyelets. I LOVE those too. I never really use eyelets but now I will definately use them more. This is the inside of the card. I will tell ya, this was kind of an accident, but I really like how it came out. On the front, you cant really tell but I did some paper peircing. Well when I did it, I wasnt thinking and did it after I glued everything down so it left little holes on the inside. I just couldnt have that. So I needed to find a way to cover it up. Hence, the bashful blue paper running across it. So thats my card. I really like it. I hope the boy and his mother did too. We had to leave before they got to presents because I had a prior obligation.

Hello everyone. How was your mothers day? Mine was actually quite great. I got new furniture!! The only crappy part is I have to wait for it to come in so 3-6weeks before it gets here. But thats ok, I can live with that. It took me FOREVER to find a set that I wanted. Well I guess I shouldnt say that. I found a set I really wanted but It was discontinued. It seemed like every set I wanted was discontinued. Then I found this one. Hopefully I still really like it when it gets here! It would be just like me to see it and then hate it.

Ok, so, Sorry about the last post. I wanted to get those pictures up and I knew if I put it off any longer it wouldnt get done. I was waiting for my mil to get here when I was posting so I wanted to be sure I wasnt sitting here typing when she got here. So anyways, thats the flip book. At the class we will be using bella rose with coordinating cardstock. Pictures just dont do it justice. You really have to see it in person. The book will hold 8 pictures, or 9 if you count the cover, the it has plenty of room for journaling and embellishments or whatever else you can think of. You could even throw in some vertical wallet pictures or something.

Another Upsy Case.

Hello. Im happy to report that Wes' appointments went WAAAAAAAAY better than I expected. He totally shocked me with how good and cooperative he was. We've learned that he has no hearing or vision problems (we didnt think he did) so thats great.

This card is a case of this card here. Thats right. I actually found the card that I cased for a change. I did have to look for it, but it didnt take me to long to find it. Its obviously very simple. I just stamped the upsy daisy set in black on to whisper white cardstock and added a black ribbon. Its like a 2 second card. I like it though. I chose not to put a sentiment in the center like the original creator of the card did. I think I like it better this way, but thats just me.

scrap page case.

Hey! Its another dark,dreary, rainy, plain old yucky day here in Mass. I think I even heard lightning last night when I was sleeping. I thought I would post now because I am going to be gone pretty much all day with appointments. Wes has an eye and hearing test today. Its totally going to suck. The school couldnt get him to cooperate (becuase of his autism) so we have to go to an actual doctors office and get it done. Of course my husband had them schedule the appointments for the same day. First is the eye, a few hours later is the hearing... Soooooo not looking forward to it. Hopefully it goes better than I think it will.

ON to the page. I cased this page (as usual) from some and ya know, I even spent the last 10 minutes looking for the original creator and do you think I can find it? NO! The person that inspired me used petal pizzazz and I know they didnt use pink, but I cant remember what color they did use. I was going to use the petal pizzazz set, but thought I wanted to try it with butterflies. I dont like mine nearly as much as I liked the one I copied. I think my little butterflies are a bit much. I used my one of a kind stamp set with the scallop oval punch. I thought the sentiment was PERFECT! The picture can slip under the strips of paper. I wanted to use ribbon, but ya know, I dont have ribbon in every color so I used paper and you can barely tell a difference. Well, I cant anyways.

So there it is. Now Im off to get dressed and get Wes ready for what I fear is going to be a terribly long, crappy day. Thanks for stopping by!

A rainy day...

Its a pretty yucky day in Mass today. Rainy, dark, dreary... you know that stuff. It was a good day to get some laundry done. I have to go to the laundrymat since I cant have a washer and dryer in my building. Totally sucks but what can ya do. I havent done laundry in like... i dont even know, probly 3 weeks. I did 7 loads already and probly have another 3 or 4 left. Its pretty bad, I keep saying Im going to get it done at least once a week so it doesnt pile up like that but of course life gets in the way and it never gets done.

Ok, on to the card. It was kind of an accident. I was stampin some stuff for my sil. She is having an open house in May and one of the projects is a frame. She asked me if I could stamp some stuff for her since her stamp set didnt come yet so I said sure. i started out with the tree from this set (thoughts and prayers). I liked it, but it just wasnt working the way I wanted it to. Then I thought, well look at the branches. They would be perfect for putting in the corners and a phrase in the middle. After all, I did want a phrase on there somewhere. So I got done. I looked at it and thought, boy that would be a cute card.... and thats how it came about. I wanted it to be simple so I just mounted it on ridinghood red and then on whisper white. I used my corner rounder on the corners since the branch kind of rounded and thats it. Very simple, not much to it, but I do like how it came out.

Its a beautiful day here in Mass and unfortunately kaleb has bronchitis and Scott had surgery on his arm and hasnt really slept in like a week so we arent out enjoying it. But, becuase of that, I get to post a new card. This one was totally inspired by a card that I cant find anymore. You would think I would like bookmark it or something so I can give them credit, but ya, Im not that intelligent. The card I copied used the tart and tangy set with cherry papers. I Love these papers and wanted to use them and well the only stamp I have that kind of goes with them is this rockstar stamp. I LOVE the look of it embossed in silver. It is really a simple card, but I really like how it came out. Now if I just had a reason to use it.....Yeah right. I like it to much to give away-that always seems to be my problem.

Hello! Can you believe its already the middle of april! We just had my youngest son Kalebs brithday party on thursday. He is already 2! Where does the time go...

This is the card I made for the ladies that came to my last class. It was such a great class...they helped raise over $100 to donate to the relay for life. Its a fairly simple card. It has a pacific point background, good morning sunshine dsp mounted on choco chip. I used the stamp set cheep talk on whisper white and mounted it on summer son cs. This is where I LOVED having my stamp-a-majig. It was soooo easy to line up the wording under the tree branch. I seriously dont know how I lived without it before. It was lookin pretty plain (would have loved to use the texturz plates on the background but I dont have them yet, Its on my list for my next order though) so I through some brads in the corner and I thought that fixed the problem. I liked how they came out. I thought they were cute and simple- which to me is Perfect!

Hello... Hope you had a great Easter. We did. We spent it with my inlaws. Saturday the kids went to an Easter Egg Hunt and let me tell you, talk about some eggs disappearing fast. An entire baseball field was covered with eggs and in about 60 seconds, they were all gone. I couldnt believe it! The boys had a blast though. Once they cought on to picking up eggs and putting them in their bag, they were off. I dont think they totally get Easter yet, they are still a bit young, but the definately loved waking up to a basket full of candy.

On to the page. This is the page we made at my last class. It uses riding hood red, pink pirouette, and bella rose dsp. I stamped the butterfly from dreams du jour on the background and made a top note with the big shot to use as a matte for my picture. I figured not everyone has a big shot or would want to cut their picture to fit so I used a library clip to clip in a picture. Now this picture is very old, we're talkin at least a good 10 years old. Its of a friend that thankfully doesnt check out my blog otherwise she would probably kill me. Lol. It was the only picture I had near me and I need a visual when making a scrap page so that was it. I also added a butterfly (go figure) that I cut using my big shot. That thing is SOOOO amazing! I used half back pearls on the buttefly to give it a little body. (the ladies at my class didnt add the pearls as I didnt have enough for everyone so they kind of missed out.) I added a true friend sentiment at the tome from the simple friendship stamp and thats about it. It was again a fairly simple page. I like simpled pages. They are quick to put together and I rarely have time to scrapbook so it works well for me. Now if only i could stop making girly pages and start making boy pages so I could get all those pictures of my boys scrapbooked. I guess maybe I need to start buying more boy stamps and less butterfly stamps. We'll see.... Anywho, thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Happy Easter! Since its Easter I thought I would share a kind of springy card. I could have shown an Easter card but believe it or not, I didnt make one. I know, I should have, but I didnt. I totally cased my upline Angies card. She has such wonderful ideas. I am lucky I signed up under her. This card was very simple. I used cameo coral-I am really loving this color right now- and summer sun. I really like this combo together. I used the Big shot to cut out a top note, then stamped my upsy daisy set in cameo coral. I was goign to stamp the sentiment in cameo coral too, but I accidently did it in summer sun. Thats what happens when you have to ink pads open and your not paying attention I guess. Its ok though cause I think I like it better this way anyways. I really like how this came out, much better than the last upsy daisy card I made anyways. I knew I would like it though, thats why I copied someone else's.

Hope you enjoy your Easter. We are going to my husbands nanas house with all of our relatives. It should be nice. Im not sure the boys really get Easter, but they will love getting all that candy! Have a Wonderful day!

Upsy Daisy

I bought this set back in February and havent used it until the other day. I have seen a lot of beautiful things done with it, but everytime I sat down to use it I just drew a blank. Well finally I sat down and was determined to use it and this is what I came up with. I cant decide if I like it or not, but here it is. I used a chocolate chip base, some kiwi kiss behind some urban garden dsp. I used my scallop edge punch on the bottom of the dsp and used my 1/16 whole punch in the middle of the scallops. In the bottom corner I put three brads, im not sure of the color, they come in the antique brad set. I stamped my flowers in not quite navy then using my new oh so fabulous stamp a majig (dont know how i lived without it) to stamp over it in versamark then embossed it with clear ep. It kind of gave it a shadow look. I matted it with my favorite color Baja Breeze- dont know what Im gonna do when it retires- and used the ticket corner punch on the corners. Youll have to let me know what think. Like I said, I cant decide if I really like it or not.

I have been so lost without my camera. When I was out running errands this morning getting stuff for Easter I remembered to pop into staples and get a memory card. It was on sale for $10, cant complain there. So expect to be seeing a lot of posts over the next few days.

Ever since this catalog came out I have wanted this stamp set. I LOVE that tree. I finally ordered it and it came in on Tuesday. Of course I didnt get to use it until yesterday but thats ok. This is what I came up with. I like it. I used ww for the base, riding hood red on top of that, bella rose dsp, chocolate chip and pink pirouette mounts behind the tree. You cant tell but I used the mat pack and did some paper piercing on the corners. Im not sure if I really like that part, but thats ok, I like the rest. I used my choco chip and real read markers to color the tree and then stamped the Thank you from the new very versatile set in real red. Slapped it all together and VOILA!

It happened again....

So remember a few posts back I was saying the battery for my camera died and I didnt have a charger therefore I couldnt post pictures of stuff? Well..... now I lost my memory card and dont have an extra one. So I have to buy one, if I can remember when Im out, which so far, no luck. So I wont be posting pictures until I remember to grab one. I actually have tons of pictures to post too. I have the rest of the pictures from my class on the 29th, which went awesome! I got to meet 5 more fabulous ladies! They are all so creative! I had 9 people attend my class and they helped me raise over $100 to donate to the Relay for Life. How great is that?! We had raffles and made projects. They couldnt believe it. We made 2 baskets, 2 cards, and a scrapbook page. I thought it was a lot of fun. Thankfully my mother in law was there to give me a hand. I had two tables set up (which was a first) so she was able to help one table while I worked at the other.

Well thats all for now. I have to make a ton of sour creme containers for Scott. Hes been selling them at work to raise money for the Relay and they have been a big hit!

I cant believe its already April. This year has gone by waaaay to fast. I have a feeling the next few months are going to go by really fast as well as I am rediculously busy. The new mini catalog started yesterday, April 1st. This catalog has a TON of great stuff in it. New baja corduroy buttons, a matchbox die for the bigshot (a must have), some awesome stamp sets, window sheets, rubons, and lots more. Another new product we have out is the pop-up dies for the big shot. Do you see a theme---the big shot. If you dont have one, you really need to get one. Its like the coolest thing EVER! Right now we have two dies, one is a cake, and one is a ball. Let me tell you, I have seen some amazing things done with the pop-up cake. Yea, thats right, being a demonstrator we got to preorder the dies before they even hit the stores. Talk about another plus for being a demonstrator (dont forget you can now sign up and pay for your starter kit in 3 payments, only till the end of April though). Isnt that cake just adorable! Talk about adding a whole new dimension to a handmade card. That makes it even more special! This is the 4th project we will be making at the class on Sunday. Its a cute little Easter basket... or if you dont celebrate Easter... it can be used for whatever reason you like. I can just see putting Easter grass and a couple eggs in this, maybe with some Jelly beans or chocolates or something. A great little gift for neices, nephews, or your friends' children. CRACK ME UP! Yes, I just sat down to type this post and my little man Kaleb decides to walk around the house in my heels.... talk about funny looking - and cute. My husband isnt so fond of it though. Ok back to the post. This is the card we will be making at my downline meeting on April 7th. well, maybe I should say my upline meeting as my upline is the one having it. either way, we have been taking turns coming up with the make n take for the meetings. I love the meetings, they are soo much fun. We talk about all the important business stuff, then we spend the rest of the time stamping! Its really great. I added a white scalloped edge paper under my dsp layer. Adhered it all to a Baja matte which is layered on a chocolate chip base. The butterfly has glitter on it, thats why it looks all funny in this picture. Its the way the light is hitting it. It looks better in person.

I know, this is a terrible picture. I always take my pictures in the window because its the best light. Well, the shadows on the choco chip are the spots on my window from my dogs nose... She enjoys looking out the windows. And well, the bar, I have those windows that have the ilnes to kinda divide it into rectangles... I dont know what they are called, hope it makes sense. Either way, This is the layout we will be doing at Shanuns open house. It's in May but we are trying to be as prepared as we possibly can. Its a fairly simple page as we dont know the level of experience of anyone coming. I used the Parisian Breeze DSP--I just love that paper!-- and I used the big shot to make the butterflies. I LOVE the butterfly die. Though it has made me lazy. I have all these stamp sets with butterflies in them that I never use cause Im to lazy to cut them out when I can just have the Bigshot do it for me. I also used the oh so fabulous corduroy (sp) buttons. I LOVE those too... so much that I hate to use them. I also used half back pearls on the butterflies for a body. I dont know if you can see them in the picture or not. But I LOVE how they look. My new favorite embellishment

Here is the third project we will be making at my class on the 29th. It is a treat bag using the the top note die for the big shot. I was totally inspired, again, from my upline Angie. She is so very talented and has a TON of great ideas! If you dont have the big shot, you need to get one. I dont know how I lived without this top note die. I use it for EVERYTHING! There are so many different projects you can make with it, is Amazing! So there it is, if you scroll down a few you will be able to see the other two projects I already posted that we will be making. In case you forgot, its March 29th at 2:00 in turners at my apartment. Proceeds will be donated to the Franklin County Relay for Life. My Favorite thing about SU Markers....

My Favorite thing about Stampin' UPs stampin write markers is that they are easily washed off of walls and children. Yes, they are FABULOUS for stamping and making your images colorful, and well my kids think they help make my walls not so blah... Thats right. I have been scrubbing my floors and walls getting all the red out. I dozed off on the couch cause I was up half the night with my 2yr old. When I woke up, I saw this lovely face peak from around the stairs. I went up the stairs to find red marker EVERYWHERE! I should have taken pictures for you, but I didnt think about it until I was done cleaning it all. Thankfully the marker comes off with some water, you dont even have to really scrub it if you do it right away. Well thats all for now, if I get a chance later I will post a stamping related project, for now, im going to try not to strangle my boys.

My Charger comes today!

Yep, Thats right! My battery charger for my camera is supposed to be here today! I have done a lot of stuff (well compared to what I usually do) and have plenty to post! I just havent been able to take pictures of it. Now i will be able to so expect to see some posts over the next few days! My husband will be thankful its here. He doesnt know that ive been using my cell phone to take pictures and send them to my sil. Once he finds out how much our bill is, he will really appreciate me having a camera battery.

Stampin' Up has made signing up to be a demonstrator even easier. Im not going to have any pictures to post anytime soon. I got a new camera a few months back and it was a used dslr. Well, i dont have a battery charger for it. I kept putting off buying one and now my battery has finally kicked the bucket. I have to order one online so Im hoping to do it today and maybe have it by the end of the week.... Lets hope so! So no pictures today. Thats ok though. We have my beautiful niece Makenna for the weekend so I wasnt going to have time to make anything right now anyways. I will though and when I get my bettery charger Ill have a ton of stuff to post!

Rockabilly Rockstar!

Another quilt card. My sil loves this paper and my other quilt card so she thought I should make one with the Rockabilly DSP. I love it! Well... I just Love that paper period. I figured it wouldnt look so good with the butterfly I used in the previous card and I just got the Little somethin hostess set that has this oh so fabulous rockstar stamp and I thought it would fit perfectly! I tried stamping it in red and thought about it in green and black but it just wasnt gonna stick out like I wanted it to. So I decided to emboss it in silver. Imo, it came out Awesome! These cards are so simple and come out so great...i think I just might make a ton of them! lol.

So here it is, the second card we will be making at my class on march 29th. I definately cant take credit for this card. I totally cased it from my very talented upline Angela. You can check out her blog here. This card uses the very wonderful sab papers and ribbon. You can only get these papers and ribbons during SAB--its almost over so order now! I used certainly celery, bashful blue, and whisper white cardstock. The true friend phrase is from the simple friendship stamp set--very cute set. I used the big shot to cut the top note and the butterfly and popped it up on dimensional. Other than the ticket corner punch thats about it. It was very simple, but I love it! I love having my new craft room! I get so much more done. I dont actually get a lot of time in there but I can sneak away for 5 minutes here and 5 minutes there. Those 5 minutes add up and I get at least one project done a day...which I can live with!

Hello!

How cute is this paper? I love it! I definately have to get more of it! Since I ordered this paper I have wanted to make a frame out of it. This is what I came up with. I made the owl out of SU punches and I used the petal pizzazz and cheap talk stamp sets to make the flowers and stamp on the pacific point. I used a rub-on from last years sale-a-bration set--yes i still have 2 packs, but I love them. As you can see i also used buttons in the middle of the flowers, they just needed something. They are popped up on dimensionals and I think thats about it. There isnt a picture in it, well because I didnt want to put off posting it until later cause I never would have gotten it done. I really like how it came out. I think I just might make another one...we'll see cause I also want to make one with my parisian breeze and rockabilly dsp. I LOVE those dsps too... I really like almost all of them and hate to use them, but there is no point in buying them if they are just gonna sit there! Ok well this is it for today. Short, Sweet, and to the Point.

Im having a class March 29th at 2:00 to help raise money for the Franklin County Realay for Life. I sent out my email to everyone yesterday letting them know but I didnt have my samples done yet of what we would be making. I still dont have them all done, but this is one of the cards we will be making. It uses the new embossing plates, dazzling diamonds glitter and some brads as well as some stamps obvoiusly. It isnt supposed to have that dark spot down at the bottom. I took it to show my mil and had a cruet of salad dressing in my purse apparently next to it, and Im thinking some of the oil got on it. I hope not cause then that means there is some in my purse--I havent checked yet--but thats the only thing I can think of that would have left a mark like that. I got the idea for this card from my meeting with my upline and sidelines the other night. My very talented sideline Melody made this card, but she used different colors and the trendy tree stamp set. I love that set, but dont have it... so I had to improvise and I must say I think I did a great job! haha. So for those of you coming on the 29th, this is a card you will be making.

So in the spring/summer catalog they have a picture of hair clips in the growing up session. Well I have been dieing to make some of them. So I was out the other day and of course had to stop at michaels and joanns and I got a bunch of new brads and flowers and stuff like that. I found some hair clips and have been goin crazy ever since! Here are just a couple of the ones I made. I have seriously been going crazy making these things. Let me know what ya think.

So, for those of you that know me, you know that my craft room was basically a coat closet...well not basically, it was a coat closet. It was very frustrating cause if I wanted to work on something, I had to lug everything out to the living room then put it all back when I as done. I wasted most of the little stamping time I get taking stuff out and cleaning it up. So a couple weeks ago we decided to move Kaleb into a regular bed and put him and Wes in the same room. This opened up a spare room for us. Well its been empty ever since. Scott went away this past weekend to PA and so i decided I was done having an empty room. I turned it into a craft room. Well Im working on it anyways. I still need some shelves and stuff like that, but it is WAAAAAAAAAY better than a closet.

Again, it doesnt look like very much right now, but it will after i get around to gettin some stuff. There will be a chair and tv in there so Scott can at leat be in the same room with me and we can kinda watch tv together at night. That was one of the conditions, he didnt want me to just disappear and never see me so we comprimised. And thats fine, I rather it that way anyways.

This is all just in time for all the new stuff I ordered. I finally got my bigshot! I am soooo excited! I ordered a bunch of new stamps, punches, and all sorts of goodies. I also preordered stuff from the new occassions mini the other day, its the first time I preordered on the first day it started. I now know why I dont do that, I forget tons of stuff that I wanted or order something that in reality I know I probably wont use very often, but oh well. I will be geting more new stuff so Im not complaining. I am however putting my self on an ordering freeze... I have spend so much money the past few weeks on stuff its crazy! So I am banning myself for awhile. I need to start using the stuff I have before I get more!

Happy Valentines Day! I thought I would share the card I made for my husband with you all. It is my first bikini card. It was kinda fun. I wish I had had other DSP though. I am in dire need of some fun dsp so this is what I had to work with. So the top picture is the front of the card and the bottom picture is the back. Oh I forgot to draw my cleavage lines in....guess ill have to do that. Anyways I used apricot appeal for the skin color then some dsp I got from Michaels or somewhere. I used ribbon for the straps and a brad in the middle just for looks. For the back I added a little xoxo stamp (I knew I would use it someday) kinda thought it looked like a little tattoo. I thought it was cute. Ill have to figure out where I got the template for the card and link it here. I hope he likes it.

Valentines day treats

Well Wesly is in preschool and I will have to say its a lot of work and money for parents, I never realized it. Well today was his valentines day party at school so i threw together little treat bags for everyone. Sorry the picture is kinda bad, it was 10 last night when I finished and just wanted to be done. They were pretty easy to make. I just used a piece of black adn white cs, stamped the skunk from pun fun and colored him in. On the back I used a white gel pen to put who it was for and from. That was that. Simple and easy but I thought they came out cute.

A Birthday Card

I have a birthday coming up next weekend for a frinds daughter so I thought I should make a card for a change. I tell people to make their cards instead of buying them, however I dont do it. So I thought maybe I should start. This is the first card Ive made with an intentions of giving it away, how terrible is that. So anyways, I used ruby red (i think), with chocolate chip and bashful blue. The DSP I used came from michaels and I think I got the brads at target or something. I used the crazy for cupcakes set which I really do love but havent really used. Ok well this is gonna be it cause my kids are terrorizing my house, quite literally. They are 3 and 1 and just broke one of those really hard plastic battons and dumped the glitter and everything all over my floor. And my three year old dumped my brads all over... no wonder I have a headache everyday!

6x6 scrap page

I am determined to like making 6x6 scrapbook pages so this is my second attempt. I must say that I do really like this page. I am going to make it a two page spread but havent gotten to it yet. I made this one last night so hopefully tonight I will get to the second page. My goal really is to do a whole book, but thats a little optimistic for me so we'll see. Anyways, this is a picture of my son Wesly when he was 4months old. I used bashful blue for the background and stamped stars from Nursery Necessities on it using bashful blue ink and versamark. I scalloped the edge of a piece of chocolate chip paper and then cut some tangerine stips. I used Kiwi Kiss for the matter behind the picture. I used markers to color in the boat and cut it out. Then I glued it all together and VOILA! it was done. It was a very quick page to make once I figured out what I wanted to do. Thats always the hardest part lol. I hope you enjoyed my page. Hopefully I will post the other one tomorrow.

Pictures from my workshop

So I told you I would post pictures from my workshop the other night so here they are. I do have very terrible lighting around here and didnt feel like adjusting it. So I hope these will do. These are the little thank you bags I gave to everyone that came. They were very simple to make and make awesome gifts. You could decorate them for any season or occassion you need. Its just a cellophane bag with the top note topper. I used the scallop circle punch, 1 3/8 circle and 1 1/4 circles punches. Find a stamp and some peppermint patties and your all set! The girls loved them!

This is what we made. They each made a box with 2 3x3 cards. They got to choose which colors they wanted for their box and which stamps and everything so they could make it their own. I kept the cards basic because some of them had never stamped before and i didnt want to overwhelm them or anything. I think it worked out good. They all had fun and liked the projects. So there ya have it... Guess I oughta get back to reality and be a mom now. Have a great day!

So every month my upline gives us a challenge to post to our blog 12 times that month. Doesnt seem like a lot does it? Well let me tell you it can be pretty tricky. Today is the 31st and its 10:25est and I am just now getting to it. I planned on posting the projects we did at my oh so wonderful workshop tonight but of course I put in my memory card and my computer doesnt want to work. So you arent getting any pictures tonight. So I will just tell you what we made and you can use your imagination until I get my stupid computer to work right. SO we made a box to hold 3x3 notecards. For they base they used either chocolate chip or Not quite navy. The top for the box they used either kiwi kiss or baja breeze. We used the scallop edge punch on the top so all the way around had scallops (if that makes sense). Then we decorated using the Pocket Silhouettes stamp. We also made two 3x3 cards to go inside. We again used the pocket silhouettes stamp. I dont know what I would have done if I never bought that stamp. I didnt even like it to begin with but my friend Andrea loved it so I thought maybe I should give it a shot and let me tell you.... I use it for EVERYTHING! Each of the ladies got a little thank you bag with a top note topper and some peppermint patty sandwhiches inside. They Loved them. Again, I will post that picture later. We had so much fun, they are sucha great group of ladies. Ok well thats all for tonight. I am Exhausted! Hope you have a fabulous Super Bowl Sunday! My new adventure...

Of course in my spare time I love to stamp and papercraft, but I also love to take pictures. I have been wanting to go to hallmark for a few years now but since I already went to a 4yr college and have to pay my loans back I just cant afford to pay tuition there as well. So in the mean time, I have decided to try and make a little extra money on the side and begin taking pictures for people. I have my first wedding the first weekend in August and I have booked another one for the following weekend. Boy am I excited. Oh what a day...

So im sure you have heard that New England was in for a big storm today. Well we didnt get quite as much as they had originally predicted but we did get plenty. I found it amusing when i looked out my window and saw this... a truck plowing the side walk... the picture is a bit blurry as it was taken out of my dirty window, but you get the picture. I have never seen that before.. well not in a town anyways. They used to do it when I was in college but the sidewalks were really wide. Ok anyways... even though I think im getting sick, I have a terrible soar throat (going on 3days), im exhausted and cold and have both boys cause school was cancelled... i managed to stamp today. I did some stuff for my upcoming workshop and then I decided I wanted to make a card. I got inspiration from my uplines card here. She is so talented and a wonderful upline. I like her card much better (in the end I dont really care for the colors I chose) so here it is.... I love how my flowers came out. I used the birds and blooms die for the bigshot to make it. I used the top note of course for the center of the card. Then I just used my priceless stamp set (which I absolutely love and never use) along with some chocolate chip taffeta ribbon. I used to scallop edge punch (well worth 15.95) on the chocolate chip and thats kind of it. My colors were baja breeze, so saffron, chocolate chip, and pink pirouette. well thats all for today.

Bompie and Me

This is one of the pages that went in the scrapbook for my mother in law. Its a picture of my son Wesly and my father in law (aka Bompie) goin for a walk. This is her favorite picture of them. It kind of reminds me of the Andy Griffith show when they walk down the road to go fishin or something. The pull out tags have definitions from the define your life stamp and tthe grandpa papers came from michaels. Im not so sure I like that dsp on this page but it was kind of all i had lyin around here that matched and was guyish...and it needed somethin.

Note Boards

My new favorite thing to make... I call them noteboards. Im sure Im not the first person to think something like this up but I will say I was awefully proud of myself when I did. I found these boards at the dollar store and grabbed a couple for my neices to use for a craft project. I of course also bought one for myself but had no clue what I wanted to do with it. Well we were working and then it came to me.. why dont I make it a dry erase board. My house is in some serious need of organization as far as remembering things go. So I covered it with some DSP I had and added a transparency. then it was done, but it looked terribly plain. So I added a post it note pad- that way I could bring the reminder with me if I needed. Still a little plain so I added the tear off calendar since we cant seem to keep a calendar in my house. Then it was done. The all in one noteboard. I need to get some dry erase markers then I will add a holder for it and some magnets so I can hang it on my refrigerator. It does hang, but if I hang it up my boys will get it off the wall and destroy it. Thats all there was too it. I was thinking it would be perfect with the calendar stamp set SU has, but I dont have that one so I just printed one off and cut it. It works for me. What do you think?

6x6 scrap page workshop

Hi everyone! Hope your all staying nice and warm inside cause that snow is freezing outside. This is a scrap page I put together and am very pleased with how it came out. I Love the pink and brown combo...well just about anything and brown is a favorite for me. I used pink perouette (someday Ill learn how to spell it without looking), bella rose dsp, pink and brown ribbon and chocolate chip ink. Behind the picture is a tag that has the date that the picture was taken and whatnot--thats why the ribbon is up there. I didnt think to pull the tag out to show that thats what it was.

I am going to be having a FREE workshop on January 23rd where we will be making this page. If your not so into scrapbooking but need a night out, come anyways. You will be able to check out the new catalog and see whats coming up for sale-a-bration. And besides, its free...what have you got to lose?

Hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas! I did. The boys had a blast opening presents this year. It was very busy for us. We had a christmas eve party, then stayed at my inlaws for the night so the boys could just open all of their presents there. After presents we headed to my sister in laws for an early dinner and to open presents again. Then after that it was off to our aunts house for christmas with Grandma. It was a very busy long day. My boys were Exhausted. It was nice to see everyone for the holidays though.

I gave the scrap book to my mother in law. I finished it just in time. She opened it christmas morning and before she even turned to the second page started crying. It was really sweet. Then everywhere we went that day she brought it with her to show it off. I had planned on posting some more pictures of it, but I didnt take any pictures before I gave it to her. Next time I see her Ill have to get some.

well just wanted to let yas know she liked the scrapbook. I am working on some more stuff to share with yas soon. Have a great day!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Hope everyone is having a fabulouse christmas today. It came sooo fast this year. So the story behind this scrapbook.... I am making it as a gift for my inlaws. My mother in law has been saying how she would like a family scrapbook so I have been working on putting one together. All of the pages are very simple cause I decided at the last minute that I wanted to do this as a gift. I dont know if she checks out my blog or not--my guess would be no, but ya never know-- thats why I couldnt say it before.

So yesterday I showed you a page with my neice Makenna, well these are her parents. My oh so Wonderful Sister in law and her husband. I will say I have been very lucky. Most ppl cant stand their inlaws and I love mine. I couldnt ask for a better family to marry into. So for this page I used Rose Red (from Earth elements), kiwi kiss, chocolate chip, not quite navy, and some dsp that I have layin around that I bought at michaels. Again a very simple page. I used the big shot for the letters and I was done. I really like the colors of this page. It just seems like they fit their personalities so well. I think this is my favorite page out of the whole book...

This is my gorgeous little neice Makenna. She is 10months and such a good baby. I love the main picture on this page and thought that since her shirt was purple, that the page should be purple as well. This is a very very simple page but I really love how it came out. I used 2 purples from the soft subtles family (I cant remember thier names and dont wanna go look) and Pink Pirouette. I had some jolees stickers layin around and thought they went well with the pictues I used so I through them on there for some quick embellishments, used the big shot for her name and VOILA! I was done. so thats page 3.... more to come in the next couple days.

This is another page of my other son kaleb. I cant believe Im actually getting a chance to post two days in a row! So this page uses old olive, only orange, brilliant blue (i think) and that DSP that retired and I cant remember the name of. I used chipboard that I had packed away (one of those Ill use this someday things) and after I had it all glued and finished I decided I really didnt like it but Im stuck with it. Every other page i have done for this scrapbook uses the same set of letters. oh well though. Ok my 5 minutes is up. Time to be a mom again. Have a GREAT day!

Baby its cold outside...

Lookin at the picture it looks like its been pretty nice up here in New England... well look closer. That was a picture from our ice storm last week. The picutre below show a better look at all the ice. Granted the town I live in didnt get it any where near as bad, but the surrounding towns did. They were without power for over a week. Now we are in the middle of a snowstorm. We got like a foot yesterday and its been snowin like crazy out all day today. Im not sure how much has accumulated but I know it is FREEEEEZIN out there!

So enough about the weather. I havent posted in sooo long that I thought Id share a scrapbook page I did the other day. I havent scrapbooked in forever. Ive been workin on an 8x8 book and I cant say for what or who or anything like that cause its going to end up being a Christmas present if I finish it in time and ya never know whos checkin out the blog. Now I obviously didnt edit this picture or anything. It needs to be cropped and have the lighting ajusted but you get the picture. I actually changed the page just a tad since Ive taken this picture. i added a couple little photos across the bottom and a Cute as a Bug tag at the top. Its hard to see but around the sides of the blue cardstock I stamped little ants from the bugs and kisses set. I used night of navy, pumpkin pie,bashful blue, and wild wasabi cardstock and I dont recall the name of the DSP. It retired last catalog. I used the big shot to make the letters for his name and that was it. Its a Very simple page but I love how it looks. I think it matches perfectly with my sons Preschool picture. Well thats all for now. I have to start makin some cookies for Wes to bring to school tomorrow. Hopefully I will post another page tomorrow. Dont hold me on it though. As Ive mentioned before my sister in laws and I are participating in a craft fair in Deerfield, Ma. My sil Shanun and I fell in love with these stationary boxes we have seen online on different blogs and sites. So we decided to make some for this craft fair. She is in charge of making the actual box becuase quite frankly i suck at it and she is very good at it and likes to do it. So I opted to make the cards and what not for the inside. I thought I would share a few pictures. This is the last set I finished today. Above is a picture of the whole set, which I just realized I need to fix one of the tags because its in white instead of vanilla. Guess Ill do that tomorrow. Either way the stationary kit comes with 3 41/4 x 51/2 cards, 3 3x3s, and 3 tags. It also comes with envelopes but I didnt think I really had to include a picture of them. I would show you the box that goes with it but I dont have it. They are at her house in New Hampshire. Here are some close up pictures. The lighting isnt very good because its night out here and my apartment doesnt have very good lighting but I think youll get the picture.

Hello everyone! Thought I would post my new favorite gift set to make. Its very simple and comes out very cute....at least I think so. I simply bought a mug at our local grocery store and added some rub-ons. I used SUs Bella DSP to cover a mini composition book and a chipboard coaster. I covered a binder clip wiht matching paper and added a post it not pad and magnets on the back of it so it can hang on a refrigerator or desk or whatever. I included a coordinating RSVP pen and some peppermint patty sandwhiches. I used the Dreams DuJour stamp set from SU to make the butterflies and the front of the notebook. It is a very simple project to make and is perfect for anyone. Well sorry it was a short one, but I am trying to get some stuff done for this craft fair im doing with my sister in laws and well quite frankly its next week and I still have TONS to do. I will try to post a little more often.. maybe tomorrow, we'll see..Im not making any promises though.

So its been almost a month since Ive posted anything at all. I was doing good at keeping up with my blog but then.... my computer monitor broke. It is still broke, we dont have a clue as to whats wrong with. No money to fix it, no money to get a new one yet. So we have it hooked up to my TV which really sucks! I cant be online if someone is watching tv so now im rarely online for more than a few minutes at a time. I have TONS of stuff I could be posting and showing you pictures of, just no real time. I have been very busy the past few weeks. My Sister in Law Nikol is getting married so my other SIL and I threw her a bridal shower. That was a lot of work. I have also FINALLY finished making Save the Dates for my husbands cousins wedding. I embossed 90 of them. She chose the stamp Tres Chic from SU and I embossed it with clear on black paper. It came out really nice. Then My Sil Shanun and I have been working really hard at getting stuff done for a craft fair we have in a couple weeks. We have an aweful lot of stuff started and very few things finished so we are going to be very busy over the next 2 weeks. Well thats all I have for now. Christmas Card class

So for those of you that have checked out my SU website have seen that on November 14th I am having a Christmas Card class. I have however changed the cards and the details. The class fee will be $10 and we will be making one of each of the 5 cards shown to the left. I have posted some of these pictures in previous posts but thought it would be nice to have them all in one post so you dont have to scroll around to find them. You will also get an envelope for each card. If you choose too, you can make multiples of a specific card for and additional $2 each. I have to know no later than 11/1 if you will be doing this so I can make sure I have enough supplies.

Dont forget that I am also participating in a Christmas Card extravaganza (see a few posts down) where you can make however many of the cards you choose. Its an all day event with raffles and prizes. Bring your friends, family, whoever you want. Just dont forget to RSVP by the dates shown.

Bows, Bows, and More Bows....

Oh what a Fabulous weekend it has been. Its been in the 70s here in Mass and absoultely gorgeous outside. Yesterday we went to my SIls to help her remodel her basement and while the guys were working her and I took the kids apple picking. It was the cutest thing ever! Kaleb had a blast! He was alll into picking apples. Wes on the other hand was more interested in running around all the trees. Someday I will post pics of them. If I had the pics from yesterday I would post them just to show how cute they were....but I dont. So anyways.. check out these Bows. I am in love with making them. They are super quick to make and come out great. This is a picture of some of the ones i have finished. The rest are cut out, just not put together yet. My SIL and I are going to try to sell these at a craft fair next month. Hopefully they do well. If not, I have bows for all my christmas presents. The only thing you need to make these are a 6x12 piece of dsp, brads, dimensionals, and a hole punch. If you would like detailed directions on how to make it just email me and I will send them to ya.
